Darrin Runup

Darrin Runup has been making beats in St. Louis for twenty years. Three years ago he stepped from behind the boards to the mic, and the music found its voice: Christian hip-hop carried by an R&B melodic flow, with the city's grit and the Gospel's hope in the same verse.

His message holds two truths together. God is the Lamb — compassionate, merciful, patient with people who've wandered. God is also the Lion — righteous, just, and coming to set things right. Darrin's two back-to-back EPs, The Lamb (November 2026) and The Lion (December 2026), are built on that tension, introduced by the single "Popular Road," a song about the choice between the crowded road and the narrow one.

Influenced by artists like 1K Phew and J. Monty, Darrin brings a software engineer's discipline to his craft, producing, writing and releasing independently. He also founded Real Urban Faith, a short-form sermon series offering encouragement for everyday believers who know the faith but feel far from church culture.
